Join Unveiled Shootouts in

Las Vegas

Year 6 of exclusive boudoir shootouts for photographers of all experience levels to build and/or update their portfolio, while connecting and networking with fellow photographers and models.

Monday, March 17th
&
Tuesday, March 18th

What to Expect

Take a look through some behind the scenes photographs captured at past events and check out the points below to get an idea of what you can expect when you attend Unveiled Shootouts, such as:

Intimate Groups

Sessions are limited to 6 photographers. Keeping the number of photographers in attendance low gives everyone the chance to slow down and create, and helps avoid a shooting frenzy with everyone competing for the same images.

Network and Connect

An opportunity to network and form connections with fellow boudoir photographers, as well as models. Connect with other like minded people who also believe in community over competition. Egos are left at the door, questions are welcome and help is offered amongst the attendees and myself.

Models

Each session will have 2-3 models (sometimes more!) who will be hair and makeup ready, and have multiple outfit options. Models and photographers are encouraged to work together to create intentional content. Our amazing models are comfortable in front of the camera, and can help guide you if you get stuck, or offer suggestions to improve poses. Models will provide photographers with a full release for images.

Content, Content, Content

The diversity in models and outfit options provides you with an opportunity to create a variety of content in a short time. Between your images/videos and the behind the scenes photos/videos, you’ll have endless possibilities of content you can use to market yourself and your work. Photographers are encouraged to help each other – capture behind the scenes for each other for even more content!

Growth

Experiment with new techniques or polish your skills while in a no-pressure environment. Practice posing and directing your subject, build your confidence behind your camera. Working together and observing others working can be so valuable, and are great opportunities for learning and growth.

Good Times

Unveiled Shootouts are always a fun and welcoming environment. While we take boudoir photography seriously and want to make the most of the shootout time, we also want everyone to enjoy themselves! Events may include some music, lots of laughter, and good times – at no extra cost!

Individual time to work together with models to create amazing intimate portraits you'll be proud to share.

The opportunity to network and form connections with fellow boudoir photographers.

A chance to experiment with new techniques or polish your skills, in a no-pressure environment.

Practice directing and posing those in front of your camera.

Models are experienced and can help guide you if you get stuck, or offer suggestions to improve poses.

Community over competition mentality.

Opportunities for learning and growth.

Egos are left at the door, and help is offered amongst everyone.

What Past Attendees are Saying

“Stephanie’s shootouts are a ton of fun. Not only did I get phenomenal portraits for my portfolio, but Stephanie took some great behind the scenes shots I was able to use for marketing and social media. There was plenty of time for everyone attending to shoot, and I never felt like I was competing for a model’s time.”

Alicia

Buxom Boudoir
Port Washington, WI

“I attended one of Stephanie’s boudoir shootouts in Vegas before attending WPPI and I loved how organized it was! Everyone got equal time with the models and we were never fighting for a chance to get shots in. The photographer to model ratio was small and not something I’ve experienced at any other event. The models she chose were top notch, extremely professional and experienced. They were great at posing but also allowed you to easily direct them so that you get all the shots you want (and ones you never knew you needed). I’m still in contact with one of the models, and she contacts me every time she is in my town to collaborate. I think many of us forget that events are also about building relationships and networking. I highly recommend Stephanie’s shootouts if you are looking to add to your portfolio or wanting fresh usable images for marketing/promotion.”

“This was my first ever shootout. I could not have had a better experience. Stephanie and her team made my first experience an excellent one! I will be back!”

More About Unveiled Shootouts

Through the years, my passion for helping foster a supportive community within the photography industry has only grown, and led me to begin organizing exclusive boudoir shootouts. Having attended many different types of shootouts and events over the years myself, it was important to me that I offer a shootout that provided a few key factors:

Supportive

A safe space for photographers and models to work together to create amazing intimate portraits, without pressure or judgment based on skills, experience, or anything else.

Intimate

A shootout that is not a frenzy of photographers shooting over each other, where you won’t be competing to get the same image, and instead are given time to slow down and create.

Content Driven

An opportunity to capture lots of great new images to update/build your portfolio, while also receiving behind the scenes photos and videos of yourself working. Endless content possibilities, which you can use to market yourself and your work.

Model Diversity

All-inclusive and body positive models, providing different “looks” for you to capture. Models will also have multiple outfit options to provide further variety. Models and photographers are encouraged to collaborate to create intentional work together.

Valuable Networking

An opportunity to connect with like minded people who also believe in community over competition. Egos are left at the door, and the environment is helpful and easy going.

FAQ

Here are some answers to questions you may have!
If you don’t see your question answered below, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

How long is a shootout?

That depends on which session option(s) you choose! The 2 hour session is 2.5 hours, and the 1 hour session is 1.5 hours. The additional 30 minutes is for the welcome and announcments, gives everyone time to meet each other, and affords the full 1 or 2 hours of actual shootout time.

How many photographers can attend?

Shootout sessions are limited to a maximum of 6 photographers. Keeping the number of photographers in attendance low helps avoid a  shooting frenzy with everyone competing for the same images.

Do I need to have boudoir photography experience?

There have been attendees who have several years of experience, as well as those who took their first boudoir images at an Unveiled Shootouts event! Don’t let your lack of boudoir experience prevent you from attending. I’ve been told directly from attendees who were new to boudoir that these events have been so helpful. They provide a great no-pressure environment to learn and grow. Although Unveiled Shootouts are not educational events/workshops, questions and answers are given among attendees and myself throughout the shootouts, so there is always something being learned!

How do you try to ensure a safe space at Unveiled Shootouts events?

While it’s impossible to prevent everything and I cannot control what people do/say, I do try to do my part to make sure every Unveiled Shootouts event is a safe space for everyone there. Every photographer is pre-screened before being able to attend an Unveiled Shootouts event. I check out their website/social media presence, to make sure they are a boudoir photographer (or have other photography work if new to boudoir).

Even though we like to have a good time at the events, I make it very clear that there is a zero-tolerance policy for innapropriate behavior. This information is given both in our contract and during announcements at the event. While we have never had an issue thus far and everyone has been amazing, I will still go over the “rules” at the events and expect that we will all act like respectful adults.

What do I bring?

Bring your camera and a good attitude! You’re welcome to bring whatever gear you’d like, I just ask that everyone please be respectful of others in the space when setting up lighting. If you have any specific accessories or props you may want to use in your images, you’re welcome to bring those, too!

What is the overall vibe at the shootouts?

Every shootout has been such a good time! They are an easy going, casual kind of event, while still maintaining structure to keep things on track. Photographers who have attended past events have varied from shy to outgoing, introverted to extroverted, new in boudoir to experienced, and I think everyone appreciates the more intimate nature of Unveield Shootouts. Whether done by answering questions, offering suggestions, or holding a light, I have seen photographers helping each other every time. Oh, and don’t forget the music and laughs!

Can I use my images?

Yes! You’re welcome (and encouraged!) to use the images/videos you capture during Unveiled Shootouts. That’s one of the points of these events – to give you the opportunity to get a ton of content in a short amount time! Aside from having a great experience, I want you to leave with images you can actually use to market yourself and your business.

You’re even able to use the images in image competitions/publications, provided they allow images taken at organized events. When sharing on social media or submitting for publication, I just ask you tag Unveiled Shootouts as the event organizer, as well as the appropriate models.

What is your payment/refund policy?

Your spot will be confirmed after you have completed your contract and paid your invoice. All money paid is non-refundable for any reason (outside of organizer cancelling event). However, should something happen where you are unable to attend, you are able to transfer your spot to someone else.
